Quick overview of book 1 (White Hot Kiss): 

This series is focused around a 17 year old girl called Layla, Layla lives in a world where gargoyles are the protectors of humans and humans are aware of their presence. The only thing that humans don't know is what they need protection against, demons. 

Layla was taken in as a young child by the gargoyles after living in the foster care system and discovering that she possessed demonic powers. 

At the gargoyle compound she falls for handsome, caring and totally out of reach, Zayne. 

Only problem? One kiss and she will consume his soul and doom him to an eternity in hell. 

Layla is a one of a kind, half gargoyle, half demon, full abomination. 

Layla doesn't fit in anywhere, without the ability to shift into a stone gargoyle or the innocence to fit in with the humans, her only purpose in life is tagging demons and providing them with a death sentence. 

That is until she means Roth, upper level demon and hottest creature to ever walk the earth... or hell.

Something big is happening and all of haven and hell, including everything in between is in danger and are coming after her. 

And it just so happens that Layla is the key to it all. Torn between the gargoyle and demon within herself as well as two completely opposite guys, Layla must embark on a life changing journey within herself to save heaven, hell and just about everything in between. No pressure there...

Personal opinion on the series:

This is a truly amazing series, I am in love with Roth and am the biggest fan of the Layla/Roth ship! This series is a trilogy and all three of the books are just as good as each other, such a well developed story line that flows and connects all of the books. Overall it took me about a top of two weeks to complete this series, and that was around Christmas celebrations, work and other commitments. The pages turned themselves and I have to say that this is my favorite book series that I have read in years! 

The way that this series is completed is absolutely amazing and sums up just about everything while still leaving you with just the right amount of questions. 

I will try and keep the fan girling to a minimum (no promises) but this book has to be one of my all time favorites and Jennifer L. Armatrout is an absolutely amazing writer, I love these characters and how they have grown and the feels in this book are too real!

If you like... then try...:

If you like the Dark Elements series try reading the Guild Hunter series by Nalini Singh. I have to say that both of these series are absolutely amazing and that is why it was so hard to find a series that could compare to the other. Neither of these series are overly similar, but both have an absolutely amazing story line, great characters and ships to die for!
