Under the Lights by Abbi Glines | Review

Willa can’t erase the bad decisions of her past that led her down the path she’s on now. But she can fight for forgiveness from her family. And she can protect herself by refusing to let anyone else get close to her.

High school quarterback and town golden boy Brady used to be the best of friends with Willa—she even had a crush on him when they were kids. But that’s all changed now: her life choices have made her a different person from the girl he used to know.

Gunner used to be friends with Willa and Brady, too. He too is larger than life and a high school football star—not to mention that his family basically owns the town of Lawton. He loves his life, and doesn’t care about anyone except himself. But Willa is the exception—and he understands the girl she’s become in a way no one else can.

As secrets come to light and hearts are broken, these former childhood friends must face the truth about growing up and falling in love…even if it means losing each other forever.

Bloggers Note

Welcome to or welcome back to my blog! I feel as though I should reintroduce myself and also update you all as to where my blog will go from here.

Firstly, I am Shelbi and I started this blog in 2016 as a way to share my love for books and give my friends and family a break from me constantly gushing about one book or another.

To catch you up to speed, it has been quite a while since I have posted anything on this blog. And to be honest, the only reason why I didn't post is because I wasn't reading in the way that I used to.

At the end of high school and during my first year of university, I felt as though I shouldn't be reading. Because if I had time to read, that means I could be studying or spending time with my family.

Even when I was reading, it didn't feel right. I would randomly pick up a beloved series (Throne of Glass for those of you wondering) and just binge the entire series in a week and then not read again for a while.

And now that I look back on that I realise that was so awful, because one of my favourite things in the world is reading an amazing book.

However, recently my love for reading and writing has been once again sparked as I have decided to study a Creative Writing degree where I will be able to learn more about literature and follow my love of reading and writing!!!

But lets get back to this blog! Writing reviews about my favourite books always brings me so much joy and I have decided that I want to begin being more active on this blog again.

This may also help with my degree as I will be analysing and discussing books!

So be prepared for me to slowly be getting back into the swing of this blog and post reviews and book related posts!

Until next time, keep reading!
