Quick overview:
When magical people from another realm half kidnap, half rescue Leonie from her blissfully boring life after she collapses feeling as though she was set on fire, nothing will ever be the same as she discovers that she is the single most powerful creature in existence. And of course, being the most powerful creature in existence, Leonie needs a protector. Although, you would think that a protector would actually want to protect…
Through joining Leonie and her ‘protector’ Korren, you will embark on a journey of magic and incredible self-discovery. So curl up with this book and read away…

Personal opinion on the book:
To describe this book in two words, I would have to say FANTASTICALLY AMAZING!
This book was everything I expected and more, I really loved the way that the story progressed as well as the use of character's back stories and the use of boy/girl POV's.
Typically, when there is a book like this the author doesn't spend the correct amount of time creating a good relationship between the characters and immediately draw on their feelings as love. I really like how Leonie and Korren conclude this book as being friends (odd friends, but friends none-the-less!)
Not only do I LOVE the character development, but I also loved the way that the main female character, Leonie is such a strong willed girl who although she doesn't know what is happening in this magically realm, she treats everyone as equals and respect.
Overall, this is a fabulously well-written book that I really enjoyed. It was a nice, quick read and I look forward to hearing about book two.

If you liked the Chosen sage I recommend reading the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. Both of these books have a 'chosen one' and a protector, whose life are dedicated to their 'chosen one.' Both of these books are really great fantasy book and are set in a world similar, yet very different to our own.
